The problem with most weather reports is their lack of specificity – you enter a city or [...]

There’s no better way to share photographs (captured with my Nikon D60) of stunt planes and supersonic jets, i.e. things that move pretty f’ng fast, than with a video montage (made with Picasa). As such, I hope you enjoy this rapid-fire highlight reel from the 2009 San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love my SF neighborhood – Inner Sunset – more than the average Fog City citizen. A large part of the love comes from my close proximity (2 blocks) to one of the world’s best public, urban green spaces – Golden Gate Park. [Update: Full lineup (complete with poster and video) added after the break.]
After months of waiting and wild speculation, the 2009 SF Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival initial lineup has finally been revealed (early!) via a peel-down ad on SFGate.com. (Not surprisingly, news of the “leak” broke on Twitter.)

The first-ever Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival concluded last night with Jack Johnson rounding out the weekend performances. While the festival was not without its hiccups, for the most part, the organizers did a respectable job.
Festivals of this size are judged not only on its musical lineup, but also on the smoothness of [...]
