Ex-Presidential Candidate Colbert in the Smithsonian
Stephen Colbert has achieved more than most presidential (wanna-be or not) candidates have…his portrait is on display in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.
“We agreed to go along with the joke and hang it for a short time in between the bathrooms,” said museum spokeswoman Bethany Bentley. “Let me tell you two key things here: His portrait is not coming into the collection, and it’s not hanging permanently.”
Just goes to show ya…make fun of the right thing(s)/people and you too could one day find your own portrait hanging (temporarily) in the Smithsonian!
