LIFE – The highly anticipated follow-up series to the BBC / Discovery Channel’s groundbreaking original series, Planet Earth, premiere’s tonight at 8pm across most of Discovery’s HD networks.
According to the early reviews, the new 11 part series contains some of the most incredible video footage ever captured. Considering how amazing Planet Earth was, I can’t wait to see how incredible LIFE will look in glorious HD.
I want to see this, but I’ve heard that the writing is awful and condescending, and that they’ve replaced the brilliant Richard Attenborough with Oprah Winfrey!? What is that about?
In comparison to the brilliant video footage, the writing is noticeably weak. Regardless, they’ve succeeded in capturing some absolutely amazing and beautiful imagery from around the world.
