Update: Things have changed – read the updated post here.
Since getting my iPod touch, I’ve been searching for a free and, more importantly, easy way to sync my Google Calendar (gCal) with my iTouch cal (as no Apple/App Store solution currently exists).
Like many iDevice (Windows) users, I don’t use M$ Outlook and therefore do not have any official/native syncing options (through iTunes or otherwise) to use with my gCal. Luckily for all of us, there is now an alternative fix – NuevaSync.

NuevaSync (beta) is a free service offering “direct, over-the-air, native synchronization” for a variety of devices and services, including iPod touch/iPhone and Google Calendar. Essentially the site provides users with free, personalized, remotely hosted MS Exchange accounts.
Once you signup, simply follow NuevaSync’s straight-forward instructions for setting up your calendar (and/or email/contacts) sync. The whole process takes no more than 10 minutes to get fully up and running. Who says Labor Day can’t be productive?!

Nice, it worked great!
