I am the epitome of the casual gamer. Over the span of my 27 years I have only owned 3 (in-home) systems: NES, N64, and now Wii. The common denominator to all of these platforms is obviously Nintendo; but beyond the obvious, the real draw is the emphasis on fun over skill.
I was reminded of the joy of gaming yesterday after buying/playing LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for most of the night.
First and foremost, this is a game for Star Wars fans – any shortcomings in game play are easily made up for in the ability to play/explore the entire double-trilogy storyline.
Second of all, this is casual gaming at its finest. With infinite lives, the ability to use the Force while wielding a lightsaber (w/ wiisaber abilities – assuming you are controlling a Jedi), and the straightforward wiimote+nunchuck controls, LEGO Star Wars offers seemingly endless entertainment.
Finally, the novel combination of Legos and Star Wars provides a hilarious foundation to this close-to-perfect game for non-gamers.

Finally, two of my favorite things put together!!!!
lego princess leia is so hot.
